Sankt Petersburg

1. Game preparation
With /join one can get into the game.
With /start the game (2-4 players) begins.
2. The Game
In Sankt Petersburg the players buy craftsmen, buildings and aristocrats in order to obtain as many victory points as possible.

The game is round based and each round consist of 4 phases. After the craftsman-phase (green) only the green cards will score. After the building-phase (blue) only the blue cards will score. After teh aristocrat-phase (orange) only the orange cards will score. The 4th phase (upgrade cards) does not involve any scoring.
3. The Cards

Craftsman:

The craftsmen primarily brings in money. The purchase price are showed in the upper left corner. The number in the bottom (in this case 3) indicate the income you get each round when you own this craftsman. In addition each craftsman possess a symbol in the upper right corner that indicate their type. This is important in regard to the upgrade cards.

Buildings:

The buildings do primarily bring in victory points. The market in the example to the left cost 5 to build and will gain you 1 VP each turn as denoted in the bottom of the card.

Aristocrats:

The aristocrats bring in fewer money than the craftsmen and fewer victory points than the buildings each turn. But in the end of the game they score you victory points based on how many different ones you have managed to obtain. (More about this under game end).

Upgrades:

These are characterised by the squared marker around their purchase price. They can only be built over a card of the same color that you have already bought. You only pay the difference in purchase price between the two (but minimum 1). Green upgrade buildings can only be built over a craftsman with a matching symbol.

4. Game play

You start the game with a start capital of 25 rubles. In the first craftsman-phase there will be 2 craftsmen to buy for each player (buy all the cards you can in this phase). To buy the card you drag it to your card area (the area under your name). Instead of buying a card you can also take a card and store it in your hand. You find your hand next to your name. To store a card in your hand, just drag the card to your hand (you can maximum keep 3 cards in your hand). You can click your hand to see your cards there. To play cards from your hand, open your hand and drag the card showed in your hand to your card area. When you don't want to buy or store any more cards you must pass. To pass click the appropriate phase symbol in the upper right part of the screen.

The starting player is different for each phase. The small symbols beside the players names indicate who begins each phasse. This change after each round, the symbols then right moves. (But be aware that as it is currently implemented player number 3 sit at lower left - not at lower right as in e.g. San Juan).

The symbol for the craftsman-phase
The symbol for the building-phase.
The symbol for the aristocrat-phase.
The symbol for the upgrade-phase.

When all players have passed successively the current phase ends and new cards are layed out for the next phase. When a phase ends it is scored. After the end of the craftsman-phase money and victory points are given for all green cards you own. After the building-phase you get money and victory points for all your blue cards, and after the aristocrat-phase you will in the same way get money and victory points for your orange cards owned.

No scoring take place after the 4th phase that is the upgrade building pahse.

When a new phase start all the empty card slots are filled with cards for the new phase. Left over cards from the last phase are not removed.

Discount: If you already have one or more identical cards that you own, you pay 1 ruble less for each new identical card you buy (but you always pay minimum 1)

At the end of each round (in other words, after the 4th phase), all cards that wasn't purchased during this round get a -1 marker. This mean that they now cost one less to buy next round. All cards that already have a -1 marker on them are removed from the game in the end of the round.

5. Game end and special cards

If one of the decks are empthied, the game ends when that round is finished.
NOTE: The owner of the Observatory can’t take the last card of a deck.
