Welcome to EnglishTown!
The goal of EnglishTown is not to separate The Welt
into English and non-English, but to help English-speaking players become
comfortable in Brettspielwelt, just as everyone has helped us become
comfortable.
Everyone is welcome to play
in EnglishTown. If you want to become a citizen of EnglishTown, more information is to be found here.
If
you are totaly new to Brettspielwelt we recomend you to read our help pages.

Archie - the town
wizard Archie is a puppet that lives in /room
C10. He is online most of the time (except just after reboots when no one
have been online to reset him yet). When you are in /room C10 you can
give Archie commands, then he will give you help and information in a
pop-up window. Type @help when in /room C10 and Archie will give you
further directions.
The town chat
The town chat is only available to EnglishTown
members. If the chat window is not already open you can
open it by /ctell bla bla bla. (If
you don't want the town chat poping up you can use the command /mutectell on). If you are a member of EnglishTown a message on the town
chat is in most cases the fastest way to find English speaking gaming partners. (To see who is on the chat you can do /chwho in the chat window).
Bulletin Board
For our members: Use the bulletin board to
voice your opinion regarding new games we should build in the town and other town matters.
Unactive players
With the introduction of guilds in BSW, a new feature where the towns each month have to pay a sertain amount of
resourses (food and clothes) for each of it's inhabitants was also added. This mean that it is very "expensive" for
the towns to have unactive players as inhabitants.
Because of this
we will start to remove players that haven't played for the last two
months from EnglishTown. If you are removed and start playing again, we
would of course be very happy to welcome you back again to EnglishTown.
Elections
Every month there is election for mayors in the different towns in BSW.
This mean that you should vote for mayor every month. Voting is done by the /vote command.
E.g. voting for a person called dumdum is done by writing /vote dumdum
(You have to be in the town room - /room C10 - when you place your vote).
The rest of the positions are decided by the elected mayor.
If you want to run for mayor, make people aware of it by a posting in the forum!
Resources and cloth and tool production
Info about resources.
In /game C10-41 you find the ET Weberei. Here we make cloth from wool and hopefully all the citizen
will help with the production by playing the "weberei game". You can read about how it
work here.
In /game C10-48 you find the forge where we make our tools. Tools are made the same way as the clothes.
Both the forge and the Weberei have to be reset by the treasurer after each production batch to be
able to produce again. Usually the production number is set to 10. This mean that there have to be 30 wool available for the
Weberei to work, and 30 wood + 20 ore for the forge to work.
